Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By installing or using Astrosimple you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What the app is
Astrosimple is an educational and entertainment app. It calculates astrological charts (natal charts, transits and synastry) from birth data you enter and shows interpretations written for learning purposes. The app is free, has no accounts and no subscriptions, and works on your device without a server.
3. Not advice
Astrological interpretations are a language of symbols for reflection. They are not predictions and not medical, psychological, legal, financial or any other professional advice. Do not rely on the app for decisions you could not justify on their own merits.
4. Your data and other people's data
You may store charts for other people. You are responsible for having the right to use their birth data. Everything you enter stays on your device (see the Privacy Policy); we cannot recover it for you if it is lost.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its interpretation texts, guide chapters, diagrams and design are owned by Astrosimple or used under licence. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial use through the app. You may not copy, extract, resell or redistribute the texts or data sets. Open-source components are used under their own licences; the list is in Settings → About → How charts are calculated → Credits.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to harass or defame anyone, do not attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with it, and do not use it in any way that violates applicable law or Apple's App Store terms.
7. Accuracy
We aim for astronomically accurate calculations, but astrology involves conventions (house systems, orbs, time-zone history) and results may differ from other software. Historical time zones and city coordinates come from public data sets and may contain errors. Chart accuracy also depends on the birth data you enter, especially the birth time.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Astrosimple is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Because the app is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for it: nothing.
10. Changes and termination
We may update the app and these Terms. The effective date shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the extent it is not inconsistent with these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the publisher's place of establishment, unless the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you additional rights.
