Getting started
How do I add a person? Open the Profiles tab (second icon in the tab bar) and tap the + button. Enter the name, date, time and place of birth. The chart is drawn immediately.
I don't know the exact birth time. Tick "Birth time unknown" on the time step. The chart is then drawn without houses: planets in signs and the aspects between them are shown, while the Ascendant and house placements are left out because they depend on the time of day.
Who are Alex Carter, Mia Bennett and Liam Foster? Fictional sample profiles included so there is something to explore right away. You can delete them from the Profiles tab.
How do I switch between people? Tap the name at the top of the Portrait / Forecast / Compatibility screen, or use Select in the Profiles tab.
Charts
Why does my Ascendant differ from another app? The Ascendant depends on the exact time and place. Check the time and the city; a few minutes can move the Ascendant by a degree or change its sign. Astrosimple uses the Placidus house system; apps using Whole Sign or Equal houses will show different house placements for the same chart.
Why are some aspects missing? Astrosimple shows the five major aspects with planet-dependent orbs. Minor aspects (quintile, semi-sextile and so on) are not listed. Settings → About → How charts are calculated explains the rules.
How is the Forecast calculated? For the selected date the app computes the transiting planets and their aspects to the natal chart, then estimates how strong each contact is and when it peaks. Swipe the date strip to move through time.
Settings
Can I change the date and time format? Yes: Settings → Date & time format.
Dark mode? Settings → Appearance: System, Light or Dark. Chart and aspect colour palettes are under Color themes.
Your data
Where is my data stored? Only on your device, in the app's storage. Nothing is uploaded; there is no account.
How do I delete my data? Delete individual profiles in the Profiles tab, or delete the app to remove everything.
Do you have an Android version? Not yet.
